Bandsintown co-founder Fabrice Sergent joins NIVA advisory board, deepening support for local and indie venues
In September of this year, we first announced the arrival of the groundbreaking Live Independent program in partnership with The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA).
Created to support the local and independent venues that serve as the lifeblood of the live music industry, Live Independent exists as a certification program and directory that connects fans and artists alike to these vital institutions.
Strengthening the partnership that birthed this program, Fabrice Sergent, co-founder and managing partner of Bandsintown has been officially appointed to the NIVA Advisory Board, joining a team of live entertainment leaders who are committed to the growth and empowerment of independent venues.
This new role helps to deepen Bandsintown and NIVA’s mutual commitment to providing resources and marketing solutions that support independent venues across the nation.
“[Fabrice’s] appointment to NIVA’s Advisory Board amplifies our efforts to support independent venues and artists,” says Stephen Parker, Executive Director of NIVA. “His insights and experience in live entertainment will play a vital role as we expand resources and create more opportunities to help our members succeed in the competitive and ever-evolving music industry.”
In addition to the Live Independent initiative, the partnership between Bandsintown and NIVA has also provided NIVA members with exclusive discounts to Bandsintown’s unique suite of marketing tools developed specifically for venues, promoters, and festivals.
“The ethos of Bandsintown aligns seamlessly with NIVA's mission to fight for the vital contribution to culture of independent venues and artists,” adds Fabrice. “Both organizations share a deep commitment to nurturing the live music ecosystem and fostering innovation in the industry.”
